| "Cataclysmic
Tragedy"
Beyond imaginings, there are other worlds out there besides our own--we just have to search for them. Or, in Renate's case, sometimes we fall into them. A world of fantasy and technology, and technology which comes with hefty consequences: An evolving society in a state of decadence and struggle. Here, everything you've read about and once believed used to be myths and fairy tales are true, but now shined in the light of a modern era and bleak warfare. Angelina, a heroine from this modern fantastical world, who fell with her kind--the winged Angelician race--in result of the Cataclysmic War of her own time. Angelina was a warrior and revered amongst her people, waging conflict with another after the rise of Oketsu. Though his origins are unknown, it was only certain that he intended to bring about the ruin of the Angelician race, for his hatred for them is ruthless, and used his manipulative allure to gather armies in order to do so. Just like his mysterious derivation, his reasons for such dripping hatred of these winged people are unknown, and it wrecks like fire in the Cataclysmic War. Toward the end, the Angelicians faced their defeat in the final battle, and with her last ounce of strength Angelina took course of action: Oketsu's motives had been to take a ruby amulet from Angelina's protection and use it for his own. This crimson object was created by the Terrain Dragons, giving it abilities that are known only to few Angelicians. In her dying moments, she uses that knowledge of the amulet opening the Dimension's Gate--a doorway into other worlds. With that, Angelina dragged Oketsu down into the Gate with her to seal themselves in this dimension forever. Though Oketsu had succeeded in killing the last of the Angelicians, he is now perpetually locked in a timeless state by a woman he loathes more than anything. But along with his own helpless existence there, he is trapped with the soul of that one he hates most: Angelina's soulless body caught in an everlasting existence of latency. "Falling Into Another World...." It started off as a simple trip to an antique shop. Renate, an ordinary young woman from this modern era, was simply taking a shopping jaunt with her friend, Derek, upon having a talisman on the store shelves surrounded in a glass case catch her eye. However, she soon discovers that upon contact, the antique turns into a device which opens a gateway, pulling both Renate and her friend inside. Caught in a timeless realm, Renate loses sight of Derek and continues falling into a vortex. Finally, this endless falling has landed her somewhere, elsewhere, wherever, she doesn't know. Now separated from her friend as strangers in a strange place, Renate is alone in bewildered wandering. Her senseless drifting stops when she stumbles upon two soldiers and residents of this new world of fantasy and technology. For Renate, it's becoming more of a struggle to find a way to leave this chaotic world of dragons, angels, elves, humankind, and other entities manifested from fiction. Though accompanied by her new found friends, Kazuki and Xander, Renate is uncertain of what will happen to her in this realm, as she drifts without direction in hopes of finding her friend and for a way to return home.
